Job Summary
The Safety Coordinatoris responsible for the reliability and integrity of all safety equipment. He is responsible for all preventive maintenance on safety equipment on board (as per list below), ensure the follow-up and highlight all deviation with COMPANY’s procedures. He is to help management to have a prompt vision of the HSE activities and performances in the various locations.
Job Details
Operations
· Organise the onsite maintenance operations which are related to maintenance of safety equipment.
· Assists the planning team by giving any technical support for the preparation of the jobs in his discipline.
· Assists vendors coming on board to perform survey or provide occasional services in concern with safety equipment.
· Ensures that COMPANY’S HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures and standard industry practice) during performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility).
· Manages interventions using the CMMS.
· Enters intervention reports in the CMMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the technical reports related to his field.
· Takes in charge safety equipment in case of breakdown until correct operation status.
· Foam management for fire fighting: The Maintenance Safety position is now responsible for controlling quantity and quality of foam in all foam tanks. In case of need for level adjustment, assistance by operators will be organized.
· Maintenance operations on Freefall and Lifeboats: The Maintenance Safety position is responsible for ensuring equipment is secured and safe for work.
Methods
· Identifies recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyses them and suggests improvements.
· Warns support teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts.
· Suggests improvements and requests modifications.
· Monitors the functioning of safety equipment, by following important parameters of the packages.
Quality Assurance
· Verifies the quality of interventions by frequent on-site checks
Requirements
• Higher National Diploma or Certificate - HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent, or relevant experience of more than 15 years related to HSE in the Oil&Gas.
• 5 years experience in Oil&Gas operations field
• Specific professional knowledge in HSE related to Oil&Gas activities, like but not only :
1. Accreditation for checking extinguisher on yearly basis.
2. Accreditation for checking life jacket
3. Accreditation for checking and testing the isolating breathing apparatus
4. Accreditation for checking the safety harness
5. Accreditation for checking the foam system on the FWP
5. Accreditation for checking the gas detector
