Job Summary

The TAM Scheduler provides planning and system support for Shutdown activities through close liaison with the Shutdown Group, Maintenance, and Operations personnel.

 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates that safety is the top priority
  • Prepares short- and long-term Shutdown maintenance schedules, monitors completion of the work carried out, and forecasts activities during shutdowns.
  • Participates in long-term planning of processes and off-sites, and offshore Shutdowns. Participates in the preparation and issuing of a 5-year work program.
  • Defines with the Execution Lead, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering departments any shutdown work scope. Ensures that all preventive and maintenance, inspection, recertification, repair, overhaul, and modifications requirements are included in such scope of work.
  • Prepares with the Operations Group a shutdown logic showing a clear sequence of various activities from plant shutdown to restart.
  • Support the Execution Lead/Engineer in preparing detailed work packages for jobs to be carried out during Shutdowns in conjunction with Execution Leads.
  • Defines maintenance activities, defining manpower and logistic requirements.
  • Preparation of tender documents, including detailed scope of work for various services. Primarily providing a plan from which Bids can be defined.
  • Ensures coordination between various departments, units, and disciplines during overhaul execution, to ensure that all act in harmony for the smooth execution of shutdown.
  • Prepares comprehensive shutdown report for evaluation and future reference.
  • Supports the Materials Lead in checking spare parts and materials availability. Follows up with the  Shutdown Materials Coordinator, warehouse, and purchasing sections on materials status and delivery in support of Operations.
  • Prepares pre-qualification documents for the supply of additional manpower and general services covering additional manpower (seniors and juniors), contracts for scaffolding, rigging, painting, insulation, high-pressure water jetting, and maintenance of gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, and civil works, and for the supply of additional mobile equipment.
  • Assists in carrying out technical evaluations and helps prepare recommendations for contractor short-list approval.
  • Administration of Primavera P6, including consistency of database structure.
  • Provides Primavera P6 training where required.

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent 
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a Planning and Scheduling Engineer on activities associated with maintenance, production, and materials in an oil/gas facility.
  • Computer skills should include a working knowledge of a variety of technical planning software and maintenance management, and materials software. SAP and Premivera P3 are preferred.
  • Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance systems, performance measures, and their applications.
  • Knowledge of Engineering codes, standards, and practices is a necessity to evaluate planning requirements for engineering projects.
  • Ability to understand specifications and contract documentation.
