Job Summary
• Report and record all security-related incidents and threats. • Execute SSAP and TTE on site; conduct luggage and personnel searches per TTE protocols. • Ensure exchange of Declaration of Security (DoS) by interfacing vessels. • Maintain and administer site security equipment; document and report discrepancies. • Monitor threat situations and recommend temporary escalations. • Liaise with OIM, site personnel, and SOC for security requirements and convoy information. • Produce succinct Security Incident Reports (SIRs). • Ensure ISPS Code compliance.
Job Details
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure adherence to operational security plans and procedures for offshore and wellhead platforms.
• Conduct security assessments of offshore platforms, Remote Wellhead Platforms (RWHPs), and assets.
• Deliver security inductions, briefings, and awareness training for platform personnel on Seplat security expectations.
• Board RWHPs during alerts to verify situations and report findings.
• Identify security gaps, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to closure.
• Collate security intelligence for offshore operations; update and analyze security reports.
• Facilitate information sharing, threat response, and synergy between offshore, VMT Security, and other locations.
• Respond to emergency calls from Offshore Security Personnel (OSPs) and SOC.
• Maintain records of incidents and violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the security organization.
Requirements
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• BSc/BA/HND or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in maritime/offshore security.
• ISPS Code specialist; Certified PFSO (Port Facility Security Officer).
• Knowledgeable in VPSHR (Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights) and NIMASA regulations.
• Local knowledge of operating environment; maritime industry experience required.
